Q'orianka

I felt like there weren't enough people of colour in my collection of portraits, so I decided to paint the beautiful and vastly underrated and multitalented actress, Q'orianka Kilcher.

A lot of people remember Q'orianka as Pocahontas or Tiger Lily (which kind of annoys me because most of the roles she's recognized for tend to be defined by their race), but I truly think she's a very underrated actress. Apart from being as talented an actress and singer as she is, she's also an activist who tends to use her fame and talent for good. She's incredibly talented, incredibly strong and incredibly beautiful, so I felt I needed to paint her portrait, though I don't think I could do her justice.
