Reality Bites

I was in a state of disillusionment when I painted this. I felt like I was losing my creativity, which has always been a huge  part of who I am, which (of course) resulted in some form of creativity. I felt like a fairy in a fairy tale gone wrong, with her wings battered and bruised by the harshness of reality.

I also lost my job the day I painted this, so it's been a rough week.
